Industry Sentiment Dossier
Oil & Gas Integrated sentiment intelligence
Company-news tone, narrative breadth, confidence, catalyst concentration and market confirmation examined as separate evidence layers.
Executive Evidence Brief
A balanced headline masks a selective company tape
Aggregate tone remains near neutral, so breadth, catalysts and company-level outliers carry more information than the headline score alone.
Evidence that supports the read
Constructive participation reaches 68/100 across qualified company reads.
Evidence confidence is 76/100 across 80 qualified equities.
Direct company coverage supplies 100% of the measured article set.
The quality-sampled 13-week tone path is improving.
Conditions that limit conviction
Only 35% of measured equities have a positive one-week response.
Narrative Breadth

Score Distribution
Shape of the company tape
Evidence Quality
Reliability of the read
1389 relevant story observations across 574 publisher signals. 100% is direct company evidence.
13-Week Trajectory
Weighted tone and participation
The path uses a fixed quality sample of up to 80 current constituents to keep the historical query reproducible. Earlier observations are not rewritten by later headlines.
Market Confirmation
How price is responding to the news tape
Price response is a diagnostic cross-check. It does not alter the sentiment score, so agreement and disagreement remain visible.

How to read this dossier
The score measures the polarity of qualified published news after relevance, source quality, event importance and freshness weighting. It is centred at 50.
Breadth measures how widely constructive or cautious classifications are shared. A few extreme equities cannot create broad participation.
Confidence measures sample depth, direct-company coverage, publisher diversity, freshness and agreement. It is intentionally separate from direction.
Completed weekly price data tests whether the market confirms, rejects or absorbs the narrative. Price never feeds back into the sentiment score.
Unqualified ticker records are excluded, and subgroup maps require at least five qualified securities. Thin slices are disclosed instead of ranked.
This is a current evidence classification, not a forecast, target, recommendation or measure of investor positioning.
