The strips show price direction. Small diamonds mark a rise out of a settled six-month range that held at the following weekly close. Neither guarantees a continuing move. The flat band is โˆ’1% to +1%; darker colours indicate a larger move relative to recent volatility. *Unavailable cells are marked with a dash.

Readings use completed weeks only.

What supports the reading

The time periods disagree. The evidence does not yet support one direction across most of the time windows.

The last four weeks

What is behind the change?

The price has fallen over the past four weeks. Any improving reading comes from a lower comparison price, rather than new price gains.

Recent priceComparison date

The strongest week accounts for 60% of the upward movement over the last 13 weeks. Much of the rise rests on one week.

Calculation details

Each reading changes for two reasons: a new price, and an older comparison date moving forward. The figures show the change in each reading in percentage points. We first change the older comparison date, then include the new close; those two effects add up to the total before rounding.

How the picture is developing

Rising across most periods

Changes here must hold for three weekly closes. A brief move does not immediately change the description.

The latest week differs from this settled pattern. A new description needs three consecutive weeks.

About this fund

These readings follow the fundโ€™s price. Its holdings and strategy determine its exposure; the listing country alone does not identify its market.

The chart and historical comparisons use this ETFโ€™s own prices. A stock-sector comparison would not be appropriate.

What would change the picture?

Choose a future price change and see how the four readings would look. Comparison dates move forward too. These are scenarios, not predictions.

If the price is unchanged in four weeks, 3 periods would be positive and 0 negative.

Some shorter readings cannot be calculated far ahead: their comparison prices have not happened yet. We leave those blank. The controls work when JavaScript is enabled.

Four weeks from the selected date

To read positive, each period would need a weekly close above the price shown below. These are calculation boundaries, not support levels or price targets.

All available prices have been checked. A summary needs at least 8 separate examples that do not overlap. Longer comparisons naturally have fewer examples; extra processing cannot create them. The downside figure measures the lowest weekly close after each starting date. These are past price changes, before costs.

Saved weekly notes

Each note keeps the reading as it was saved. Later price changes are added automatically after 13, 26 and 52 weeks. Earlier notes are not rewritten.

A useful distinction

Read direction and steadiness together.

A rising price can have weak momentum at longer horizons. A falling price can rebound sharply while its broader history remains negative. Reading both together makes those differences visible.

Agreement

Three or four horizons on one side suggest a broader directional pattern.

Transition

Shorter horizons often move first. Disagreement identifies a change to investigate.

Path quality

Orderly movement describes consistency. It does not tell us that a trend will continue.

Historical context

Compare outcomes with ordinary periods too. A positive outcome alone does not establish an advantage.

Month labels represent 4, 13, 26 and 52 calendar weeks. Values are local-currency price changes.

Research foundationHow these readings are calculated

Own-history momentum

Each horizon measures the percentage change in this instrument's saved closing price. Readings above +1% are positive, below โˆ’1% are negative, and between those values are flat. Three positive or negative horizons establish the directional balance; โ€œtaking shapeโ€ covers its first six consecutive weeks.

One-, three-, six- and twelve-month labels use 4, 13, 26 and 52 weeks. These are price returns, excluding dividends, cash interest, fees and borrowing costs. These price comparisons differ from the diversified futures strategy in the research below.

Quality, risk and comparisons

Path efficiency is the absolute net log-price change divided by the sum of absolute weekly log changes over 13 weeks. At least 35% is orderly, 15โ€“35% uneven, and below 15% choppy. These are descriptive thresholds, not fitted probabilities. Volatility uses 26 weekly log returns, annualised by โˆš52.

Historical matches share the inspected balance and quality category. Within each horizon, samples are chosen chronologically without overlap. โ€œAll conditionsโ€ uses separate non-overlapping periods with sufficient history. Comparisons are unadjusted price outcomes, not strategy returns; the samples can cover different market environments.

Dates and data integrity

Only completed, published weeks are used. Missing or invalid prices and unresolved stock splits reset the calculation. Known full exchange closures carry the preceding close. Saved price repairs automatically refresh the report; chart history reflects the saved prices available today. The separate saved weekly notes keep the original published reading, with the date it was recorded.

The chart defaults to a logarithmic scale so equal percentage changes have equal visual height. Replay recalculates the narrative and withholds outcomes that had not finished by the selected date.
