Michael Burry adds to Nvidia and Palantir shorts while loading up on Molina Healthcare, which is down 54% from its high
Jim Spellman/WireImage Michael Burry, who was made famous by The Big Short, is doubling down on his bearish bets against some of the market's biggest AI and infrastructure names, while simultaneously increasing his investment in a healthcare company he has repeatedly argued is undervalued. In a recent post on his substack, Cassandra Unchained, Burry said he added to several of his largest short positions, including Nvidia [NASDAQ: NVDA], Palantir [NASDAQ: PLTR], Oracle [NYSE: ORCL] and Caterpillar [NYSE: CAT]. He also increased his position in Molina Healthcare [NYSE: MOH], saying he remains c

Michael Burry Just Shorted Palantir Again -- He Thinks It's Headed Below $1
Michael Burry rose to prominence as one of the hedge fund managers who foresaw the 2007-2009 housing market collapse, a prediction later detailed in the book and feature film The Big Short. That one correct call effectively cemented his reputation as a skilled short-seller, or an investor who profits when stock prices decline. In recent years, Burry has been vocal in his skepticism about the artificial intelligence (AI) boom, arguing that many AI-related stocks trade at valuations disconnected from reality. Now, Burry has disclosed a fresh short position in Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR)

Does Palantir’s Agentic Moat Finally Justify Its Premium Valuation Multiple?
Quick Read Palantir's ontological moat and AIP bootcamp strategy make it an early leader in high-margin agentic AI software adoption. At 150x trailing P/E, Palantir's valuation looks stretched, and Dr. Michael Burry warns frontier AI labs could disrupt its edge. It sounds nuts, but SoFi1 is giving new Active Invest users up to $3,000 in stock for a limited time, and all it takes is a $50 deposit to get started.2 See for yourself (Sponsor) Could it be that Palantir (NASDAQ:PLTR) is already on the right path to justifying its seemingly absurd pie-in-the-sky valuation? Down 0.5% in 2026, Is Palantir Stock a Buy?
Shares of Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) are down 0.5% year-to-date, underperforming the Nasdaq Composite's roughly 14.4% gain. Much of that underperformance reflects the stock's lofty valuation coming into the year -- not a collapse in demand. In fact, Palantir continues to see explosive growth for its artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Revenue growth has accelerated in every quarter since mid-2023, and the most recent period showed 93% year-over-year growth. How the page works
How to read the score
It describes the weighted balance of qualifying headlines. A score of 50 can mean a balanced tape or that direction has been withheld for insufficient evidence; the status label distinguishes them.
Confidence measures depth, source breadth, direct relevance, freshness and agreement. It does not rise merely because the tone is extreme.
Weekly price response, trend and fair-value position test whether the market is accepting or rejecting the news. They never rewrite the news score.
The page describes completed evidence available at the stated time. It is research context, not a forecast, recommendation, target or execution instruction.
