Reading the screen

Direction, strength and change answer different questions

Direction & strength

DSI is a signed reading from −100 to +100. Strength is its absolute value: strong ≥50, moderate 25–49.9, light 10–24.9, balanced below 10. Near zero, the established direction is retained until the opposite ±10 boundary is reached.

Change & price agreement

Four-week change is measured in DSI points, never percent. A negative reading can improve before turning positive. Price agrees when its four-week return follows the established direction; moves smaller than 0.5% are mixed.

How the ranking works

The default orders signed DSI from highest to lowest, then four-week change. Strongest in either direction orders by distance from zero. Change sorts place unavailable comparisons last. These describe conditions, not validated trading signals or probabilities.

Weekly coverage

Active equity listings with sufficient continuous history and a current reading are included. At least 52 completed observations are needed; gaps and unresolved splits restart the calculation. Partial data is labelled, not treated as full evidence. Country is the listing market.

Publication and data coverage

111 active equity listings checked; 110 eligible, including 22 with partial data. Excluded: 0 without history, 0 without current completed data, and 1 with insufficient continuous history or supporting evidence. Known full-week exchange closures are allowed. Cross-listings are separate listings.
