It operates in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary; Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Spain; and Western, Southern, and Eastern Europe. The company was formerly known as METRO AG. Ceconomy AG was incorporated in 2001 and is based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
