Forrestania appoints MEGA for Tycho open-pit operations

Forrestania Resources has selected MEGA Resources to undertake the open-pit mining development at the Tycho Gold Project in Australia. The contract, which covers stage one mining operations at Tycho, has an estimated value of around A$27m and is expected to run for roughly seven months. MEGA will carry out drill and blast work, excavation, and the loading and haulage of ore and waste. The company will also deliver ore to the run-of-mine stockpile, build and maintain haul roads, provide pit services and supply other mining support required for the first phase of operations.
